Η τηλεόραση της Λετονίας διοργάνωσε τελικό για την επιλογή του τραγουδιού που θα εκπροσωπήσει τη χώρα στον 55ο διαγωνισμό της Eurovision, στις 27 Φεβρουαρίου στο Juras Varti Theatre House στο Βέντσπίλς, δέκα τραγούδια διεκδίκησαν τη πρώτη θέση, τον τελικό παρουσίασαν οι Ugis Joksts & Kristine Virsnite.
Αρχικά επιλέχθηκαν τα τρία καλύτερα τραγούδια και στη συνέχεια το τηλεοπτικό κοινό με μια κριτική επιτροπή επέλεξαν το καλύτερο για να εκπροσωπήσει τη χώρα στο Όσλο, μιας και υπήρξε ισοπαλία η γνώμη του τηλεοπτικού κοινού μέτρησε από αυτή της επιτροπής, έτσι το τραγούδι What for? θα διαγωνιστεί στον πρώτο ημιτελικό στην έκτη θέση.
