Η τηλεόραση της διοργανώτριας χώρας, NRK, διοργάνωσε τρείς ημιτελικούς και μια δεύτερη ευκαιρία για την επιλογή των τραγουδιών που διαγωνίστηκαν στον μεγάλο τελικό στις 6 Φεβρουαρίου στο Spektrum στο Όσλο και παρουσίασαν οι Marte Stokstad & Per Sundnes.
Αρχικά το τηλεοπτικό κοινό επέλεξε τα τέσσερα καλύτερα τραγούδια για να διαγωνιστούν ξανά, στη δεύτερη φάση της ψηφοφορίας το αποτέλεσμα έκρινε το τηλεοπτικό κοινό και τέσσερις εθνικές επιτροπές.
